No rising sun confession, dear. Only a restless night I'll nurse for years.

مرحبا
The title of this post comes from the song Fire's Highway by Japandroids; it sorta rhymes but I think it's the sibilants that gets me. It's the second time I've followed them. The first time was a little hurtful, but I got over it, and this time round it was worth the experience. I look forward to being so arrested by words like these again.

As far as rambling tangents go, let me just write I wasn't that productive today. I need a lamp so I can read at night.
Listening to more Kanye basically means I'm appreciating Family Business and The Glory more.
There will be two more months, I'm guessing, of adverse weather so I really need to get that dwr wash and wash-in. I must've looked pretty retarded when I slowly repeated what the dude at the register said.
Without a guitar in my hands I seem to be writing more poems, that aren't lyrics. I plan to learn at least one Chet Atkins song, after that other song by that other CGP.
Goran Dragic has been traded to the Miami Heat ... I'm not sure how I feel about this until I see some "amazing."
And do I feel older now that I actually am? Nah, not yet.

The Foul Sounds of Youth

Sweetness - Jimmy Eat World
Everlong - Foo Fighters
Forever and Ever, Amen - The Drums
Younger Us - Japandroids

There are more songs about youth, but these four mean a lot to me. So I'm writing it down before I forget and get old. My favourite lyrics are as follows:

"If you're listening."
"If everything could ever feel this real forever, if anything could ever be this again."
"And it's forever, baby, it's forever."
"Give me younger us."

Honourable mentions:
Hard To Explain - The Strokes
Fat Lip - Sum 41
Blitzkrieg Bop - The Ramones
We Are Going To Be Friends - The White Stripes
Banquet - Bloc Party
Saria's Song - Koji Kondo
